Russia has been a threat to the UK for over half a century, but now Putin has singled out the UK to threaten. This is in response to hundreds of drones made in the UK being launched by Ukraine into the Moscow region.
In “normal circumstances” Russia should not take serious military action against the UK. However, now that Russia has identified the source of the weapons used to attack Russia we can hardly expect Russia to approve or do nothing. WE ARE ASKING FOR TROUBLE!
Ukraine is in ruins. One third of its population has left since the start of the war. There are no more volunteers to fight in the Ukrainian army. Ukraine is now unable to support itself and is dependent on Western aid (Western tax payers). Ukraine is not going to crush Russia but it can provoke even stronger and stronger retaliation.
An agreement to end the war is urgently needed, and both sides are likely to feel dissatisfied with the terms. Both sides in this war have LOST.
It is unwise to for the UK to encourage the Ukraine to go for more years of increasing suffering.
