We, as individuals, and the whole world, are already paying for the war against Iran – and it is only going to get worse. The war is in practice against us all.

What diplomatic efforts is our government making to dissuade the aggressors in the war against Iran to stop their aggression? What has our Prime Minister said to condemn the war crime of an unprovoked attack on a sovereign country?
Basically he has said we won’t join in the war but then shown support for it in a very practical way.
What do you make of the scenes at the US airbase at Fairford in Gloucestershire shown in the video below?
His “most powerful words” were that he does not “believe in regime change from the skies”, and having first said that British bases could not be used by America to deliver bombs on Iranian targets quickly changed his mind to let British bases in the UK and Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean be used “to strike Iran’s ballistic missiles and their storage sites, but not to hit other targets”. But how could such a limitation be imposed or checked? And how will Iran interpret this obvious support for American action?
Keir Starmer has said the UK has learned lessons from the “mistakes of Iraq”, and was not involved in the initial strikes on Iran and “will not join offensive action now”.
I think President Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu are reckless war criminals who are causing death and destruction on a horrifying scale – crimes against humanity. They should be condemned loudly and clearly for what they have done and are doing and steps should be taken to limit our trading and verbal support – even though there will be economic costs to this country.
I would go further and suggest that we are seeing the evidence that reliance on military might is futile in a world where we have many critical and vulnerable targets that a not very sophisticated enemy can put out of action in a few hours.
